Dental FAQs

Your First Appointment

Nothing, just your smile! If you can please come in ten minutes early so we can welcome you to the practice and collect the rest of your details.

At your first appointment we will discuss any concerns or problems you have, examine the health of your teeth and gums and conduct an oral cancer screen. We can then show you any current or potential problems by taking photos or 3D scans of your teeth.

If you are new to us we like to take our time to get to know you as well as checking the health of your teeth and gums. If you are having a dental health check we will normally book 45 minutes and if you see the hygienist afterwards it will be an additional 30 minutes.

We all work very closely together and regularly liase with each other to ensure your dental health is looked after by the best person. We will normally book any consultations with the team member that is needed on a different day.

Appointment and Costs

We require 2 full working days notice of a cancellation. Failure to notify will result in the loss of any deposit paid or a 50% cancellation fee depending on the treatment.

Our prices are detailed on the prices webpage. Where our prices are shown as “from” or as a range, the cost may vary depending on the type and complexity of the treatment. We’ll always give you an itemised breakdown of your treatment plan in advance of any treatments carried out.

You can pay by credit and debit card, cheque or cash after your treatment.
